RAPS is Seeking a part time HCA to assist an individual with ALS (E28)

Location Rural Spruce Grove (5 Min North of town)

Days/ Hours: Flexible Daytime Schedule (20 hours a week)

Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to: Mechanical transfers using the Hoyer lift,Full personal care (bathing, toileting, skin care and shaving), G-Tube administration (Nutrition and medications), respiratory care using a Bi-Pap machine, occasional oral suctioning, ROM exercises, light housecleaning and laundry, assistance with ADL’s and companionship.

Note: there are 3 Dogs in the home

Qualifications:the successful candidate must have an updated criminal record check containing the Vulnerable sector check portion, a class 5 driver’s license and vehicle or reliable transportation to Rural location, an active Alberta HCA registration, active first aid/ CPR certificates, and experience with ALS or complex needs clients. Must speak transparent and fluent English.

Having experience with communicative technologies is considered an asset

Rate of Pay: $20-$21.50 hour based on qualifications and experiences
