Nurse Practitioner – PrEP & HIV Care (Independent Contractor Role)

Launched in 2019, the Ontario Prevention Clinic / The PrEP Clinic is Ontario’s original online PrEP service. We also operate full-service in-person clinics in Toronto, Brampton, and Ottawa, and currently provide care to over 5,000 Ontarians.

This role is for approximately 0.5 FTE. Shifts include providing 1 full day of in-person care at our Toronto location and 1 day of virtual care serving patients across Ontario, plus admin hours. See schedule requirements below.

Your responsibilities will include initiating and monitoring HIV prevention therapy (PrEP), as well as providing in-person HIV care for patients living with HIV at our 180 Bloor St. West clinic, additional hours available for coverage as needed (virtual/in person). This includes comprehensive assessment, prescribing, and longitudinal follow-up care.

You will also support the broader sexual health needs of your patients, including STI/STBBI assessment and treatment.

The clinic operates with standardized prescribing protocols and defined clinical workflows to ensure quality, safety, and consistency. You will work collaboratively alongside a team of Nurse Practitioners, our Clinical Director, on-site patient support specialists, RPNs/RNs, and clinical pharmacists in a highly team-based environment.

Engagement Structure

This is an independent contractor position. Contractors maintain clinical autonomy in accordance with professional standards while working collaboratively within the clinic’s established protocols and care models.

The successful candidate must hold an active NP license in Ontario and maintain appropriate professional liability coverage.





Hours & Compensation

Approximately 20 hours per week, inclusive of follow-up care.

- In-person rate: $90–100/hour
- Virtual or administrative rate: $75/hour

- Wednesday: in-person (full day)
- Friday: virtual (full day)
- Flexible admin hours
- Additional hours for pick up in person and virtually available as needed
