Job Description

The Elementary Coordinator is responsible for overseeing curriculum implementation and supporting the academic success of the Elementary Program (Grades 1–6) across three locations. This role ensures that teachers are delivering instruction aligned with the Ontario Curriculum and meeting the required learning expectations for each grade level.
The Coordinator works closely with teachers and school administration to monitor curriculum delivery, support instructional planning, maintain academic standards, and ensure consistency across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Oversight & Instructional Support

- Ensure teachers are following the Ontario Curriculum requirements for Grades 1–6 and covering the required learning expectations for each grade.
- Review curriculum plans, long-range plans, and classroom instruction to ensure alignment with Ontario curriculum standards.
- Support teachers with curriculum planning, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to support teaching effectiveness and student achievement.
- Monitor student progress and identify areas requiring additional academic support.
- Promote consistency in curriculum delivery and academic expectations across all three locations.

Program Coordination & Administration

- Assist the campus supervisor to coordinate extracurricular activities, field trips, special programs, and school events.
- Assist with the development and management of the Elementary Program budget.
- Prepare and maintain elementary handbooks, brochures, academic calendars, and parent information presentations.
- Coordinate open houses and parent information nights.
- Support the promotion of the Elementary Program, including school social media.
- Travel between campuses as required.
- Student & Parent Support
- Work with teachers, supervisors,



and parents to address students’ academic and developmental needs.
- Communicate curriculum updates, school events, and program information to parents.
- Support the implementation of student behaviour policies and classroom management strategies.
- Promote an inclusive, organized, and supportive learning environment.

Staff Communication & Collaboration

- Serve as a key point of contact for elementary teachers and support communication between teaching staff and administration.
- Facilitate staff meetings and encourage collaboration across locations.
- Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing instructional support as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum for Grades 1–6, including grade-specific learning expectations and assessment requirements.
- Experience teaching within the Ontario education system, preferably at the elementary level.
- Ability to review curriculum plans and assess whether teachers are meeting Ontario curriculum expectations.
- Robust organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support and guide teachers in curriculum implementation.
- Ontario teaching certification is an asset.
- Previous leadership or curriculum coordination experience is an asset.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and/or the ability to travel between three campuses.

Work Environment & Schedule

Position: Full-time, in-person
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Expected Start Date: November 1, 2026
Work Location: Multiple campuses in Brampton
Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for school events, open houses, or parent information sessions.
