We're looking for enthusiastic, outgoing and customer-focused individuals to join Gemlet at Toronto's iconic Distillery District Christmas Market!

This is a seasonal opportunity to be part of one of Toronto's most popular holiday events. We're seeking individuals with strong sales and customer service skills who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and love connecting with customers.

Please note that this is a fully outdoor position. Team members will be working outside for the entirety of their shifts throughout the winter season, including during cold temperatures and varying weather conditions. Applicants should be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and come prepared with appropriate winter clothing to stay warm throughout their shifts.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Greet customers and create a welcoming, positive shopping experience
- Engage with customers, provide product recommendations and drive sales
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and process transactions
- Handle refunds, exchanges and returns in accordance with company policies
- Perform permanent jewelry services (training provided)
- Maintain a clean, organized and inviting retail space
- Work efficiently in a busy, high-volume holiday market environment

Requirements

- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred
- Friendly, outgoing personality with robust communication skills




- Comfortable working outdoors in cold winter weather for the full duration of scheduled shifts
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4–8 hours)
- Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and the busy holiday season
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills

Compensation & Perks

- Hourly Wage: $17.95/hour + sales commission (potential to earn an additional $4+/hour)
