CNC OPERATOR / PROGRAMMER / DESIGN ARTIST
Custom Performance & Billet Parts – Calgary, Alberta
Project Faster Inc isn’t a “push the green button” kind of shop. We build wild, high-end billet parts for V-Twin performance bikes and hot rods—and we’re looking for a CNC artist who can turn raw ideas into reality.
If your sketchbook lives next to your torque wrench and you see parts in your head before they exist on-screen, keep reading.
The Role
You’ll be the person who:
- Programs, sets up, and runs our Haas VF2SS to create custom and production billet parts.
- Lives inside Fusion 360 (our main platform) to design, draw, and time toolpaths for complex 3D components.
- Uses 3D scanning to capture geometry from real-world parts and bikes, then turns that data into usable CAD.
- Uses 3D printing to prototype parts, test fitment, and validate designs before they hit aluminum.
- Collaborates on wild one-off and production designs for V-Twin motorcycles and hot rods—from concept to finished part.
- Pushes finishes, tolerances, and detail so the parts look as good as they perform.
What You Need To Bring
- CNC expert: Strong hands-on experience with CNC machining—setups, workholding, tooling, offsets, problem-solving at the machine.
- Fusion 360 master: Confident designing and programming complex billet parts. This is the main tool of the job.
- Programming-focused mindset: You’re not just editing feeds and speeds—you understand strategy, toolpath selection,
and cycle-time optimization.
- 3D scanning proficiency: Comfortable capturing and processing scan data, then rebuilding or refining geometry in CAD.
- 3D printing experience: Able to take CAD to print for mockups, fixtures, and test pieces.
- Artist mentality: You think like a designer, not just a machinist. You care about shape, flow, symmetry, and how a part feels in your hand and on the bike.
- Passion for bikes/hot rods: You don’t need to be a mechanic, but if you light up when someone says “horsepower,” “big-inch motor,” or “billet everything,” you’ll fit right in.
- Self-driven, low-drama, high-output. You can be trusted to own projects from start to finish.
What You Get
- Top wages based on your skill, not your job title.
- Benefits package.
- A chance to help define how high-end billet parts look and perform in the V-Twin world.
- A small, tight crew where your ideas don’t get buried—if you design it and it works, it gets built.
- A shop environment that actually encourages experimenting, prototyping, and pushing your skills.
If you’re a CNC programmer/designer with an artist’s brain and you want your work bolted to serious bikes and builds, this is your spot.
