Lotus Group is proud to partner with InsureCPA, a progressive, established and growth-minded organization serving Chartered Professional Accountants across Western Canada, in the search for a Controller – Business Analytics & Operations.

We are looking for a CPA who knows their numbers, understands the fundamentals of accounting and financial management, but is equally passionate about what the data can tell us about the business.

This is not a traditional Controller opportunity focused solely on financial statements, month-end reporting and compliance. While those responsibilities remain an important foundation, this position offers the opportunity to become deeply involved in business performance, sales analytics, operational efficiencies, technology and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate is naturally curious, commercially minded and energized by data. Someone who enjoys understanding where revenue comes from, what drives sales performance, how customers behave and where opportunities exist to improve the business.

You'll work closely with leadership and collaborate across the organization, using financial expertise, business intelligence and technology to turn information into meaningful insights and action.

For a CPA who enjoys accounting but gets genuinely excited about analytics, automation, dashboards and business growth, this is an opportunity to bring those interests together.

We're looking for someone who brings the technical credibility of a CPA with the curiosity and commercial mindset of a business analyst.

You might currently be a Controller who loves the analytical side of finance, a Finance Manager who enjoys working closely with sales and operations, or an FP&A; professional with a strong accounting foundation who wants broader ownership of the finance function.

You're someone who:

- Enjoys getting into the details of data and understanding the story behind the numbers.
- Is genuinely interested in sales, revenue, customer behaviour and business performance.
- Can comfortably manage the accounting function but doesn't want their career limited to traditional financial reporting.
- Gets excited about building dashboards, exploring trends and finding opportunities others may have missed.
- Is interested in AI, automation and using technology to work smarter.
- Asks questions, challenges processes and looks for ways to make things better.
- Enjoys collaborating with different departments and being involved in the bigger picture.

- Wants to contribute ideas, influence decisions and make a visible impact on the organization.

Why InsureCPA?

InsureCPA offers something different for a finance professional who wants to combine strong accounting fundamentals with broader business involvement.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the financial function while contributing to how the organization measures performance, understands its customers, improves operations and plans for future growth.

You'll work alongside a collaborative leadership team that values new ideas, encourages innovation and recognizes the importance of using technology and information to make better decisions.

This is an opportunity to move beyond simply reporting the numbers and become an important part of understanding and improving them.

Lotus Group welcomes confidential conversations with CPA-designated finance professionals who are interested in a role that combines controllership, business analytics, operational involvement and technology.

You may not currently hold the title of Controller, and that's okay. If you have strong technical accounting experience, enjoy working with data and want to contribute to the broader success of a business, we'd welcome the opportunity to connect. #LotusA
