Experienced Professional Cleaners Wanted | $30–$40/hour

We're building something special, and we're looking for experienced cleaning professionals to help us make it happen!

Victoria Cleaning Collective is a locally owned and operated cleaning company founded by two sisters who believe that exceptional service starts with exceptional people.

We're creating a company where cleaners are respected, fairly compensated, and supported in doing their best work.

We're currently recruiting 3–5 experienced cleaners to join our founding team as we grow throughout Greater Victoria, the Westshore, and surrounding communities.

Competitive Pay: Earn $30–$40/hour for cleaning assignments, with rates determined by the job and our established performance-based compensation structure.

Paid Travel Between Jobs: Travel between scheduled cleaning assignments is compensated at $22/hour.

Flexible Scheduling: Submit your availability through our employee scheduling app so we can build schedules that work for you and our clients.

Weekends Off by Default: Our regular schedule is Monday through Friday. Weekend assignments are optional.

Professional Equipment & Eco-Conscious Products Provided: We supply all required professional cleaning equipment, including vacuums, mops, microfiber cloths, and dusting tools. We also provide thoughtfully selected, eco-conscious cleaning products, including our ATTITUDE product lineup. You won't need to purchase your own cleaning supplies!

Supportive Management: As a locally owned business, we're actively involved in training, quality assurance, and supporting our employees.

What You'll Be Doing

Our cleaners work across a variety of professional cleaning services, including:

- Residential Cleaning: Recurring maintenance cleans, first-time deep cleans, and detailed home cleaning.
- Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning: Thorough cleaning of vacant homes and properties between occupants.
- Post-Construction Cleaning: Detailed cleaning of newly built or renovated properties, including fine dust removal, surface cleaning,



and preparing finished spaces for occupancy.
- Commercial Cleaning: Professional cleaning of offices and other commercial spaces.
- Realtor and Property Cleaning: Preparing properties for listings, showings, new occupants, and property transitions.
- Vacation Rental Turnovers: Cleaning and preparing short-term rental properties between guests.

Your Responsibilities

- Deliver consistently high-quality cleaning according to VCC standards and checklists.
- Work efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Follow client-specific instructions and respect clients' homes and belongings.
- Properly use and care for company-provided equipment and eco-conscious cleaning products.
- Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and management.
- Accurately record travel, arrival, job progress, and completion through our employee scheduling app.
- Report damages, safety concerns, or unexpected issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional, reliable, and positive approach to your work.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for experienced cleaners who understand the demands of professional cleaning and take genuine pride in their results.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 year of paid professional cleaning experience.
- Experience in residential, commercial, post-construction, or other professional cleaning environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's licence.
- Reliable smartphone capable of running our scheduling and time-tracking app.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to safely perform the physical duties of cleaning, including bending, reaching, lifting equipment, and prolonged periods of standing.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Willingness to complete a criminal record check.

Additional Assets:

- Experience with post-construction cleaning.
- Experience with move-in/move-out or detailed deep cleaning.




- Experience with vacation rental turnovers.
- Familiarity with professional cleaning equipment and eco-conscious products.
- Experience working independently in clients' homes.

Compensation & Scheduling

Cleaning Pay: $30–$40/hour, depending on the cleaning assignment and performance-based compensation structure.

Travel Pay: $22/hour for travel between scheduled jobs.

Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week as client bookings develop. Hours may vary based on business demand and employee availability.

Schedule: Primarily weekday daytime assignments, with optional weekend opportunities.

Employment Status: Permanent, part-time employee.

Our cleaners are employees of Victoria Cleaning Collective and receive applicable employment protections and statutory entitlements.
