Survey Crew Chief / Party Chief – Junior & Senior Positions

Mission Ready Geomatics is recruiting Junior and Senior Survey Crew Chiefs for our client. Whether you’re an experienced crew chief ready to lead independently or a survey professional prepared to take the next step, we’d like to hear from you.

These roles combine hands-on surveying with responsibility for daily field activities, crew coordination, and accurate project delivery. Responsibilities will reflect your experience level.

What you’ll do

- Organize and carry out field survey assignments according to project requirements.
- Complete survey measurements, construction layout, and field data collection.
- Operate total stations, GNSS equipment, and field data collectors.
- Interpret survey plans, construction drawings, and technical instructions.
- Check measurements, identify discrepancies, and communicate field issues promptly.
- Maintain explicit field notes, sketches, and electronic records.
- Coordinate crew activities and communicate progress with project managers, office staff, and site contacts.
- Follow site safety requirements and properly care for survey equipment.

Senior Survey Crew Chief

You bring experience leading survey crews and can independently plan assignments, troubleshoot technical issues, and check the quality of completed fieldwork.



You’re comfortable making sound field decisions and guiding less-experienced crew members.

Junior Survey Crew Chief

You bring practical surveying experience and are ready to take on greater responsibility for fieldwork and crew coordination. You understand core survey methods, work carefully, and recognize when to seek technical guidance.

What you bring

- Hands-on field surveying experience appropriate to the position.
- Experience using total stations, GNSS equipment, and field data collection software.
- Ability to read plans and follow technical instructions.
- Strong attention to accuracy, equipment setup, and documentation.
- Clear communication, organization, and practical problem-solving skills.
- A dependable approach to safety, teamwork, and project delivery.
