We are recruiting for the following permanent employment opportunity in Vaughan:
Lathe Setter/Machinist
Our client is an industry leader in end-to-end manufacturing and engineering solutions for the military and defense industries. They are experts in precision CNC machining with on-site capabilities in sheet metal fabrication, certified welding, finishing and assembly.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Lathe Setter/Machinist would be responsible to set up and operate CNC lathes, conduct visual and measuring quality checks, other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have a great attention to detail and will maintain company standards in the areas of housekeeping, attendance and teamwork.
Core Competencies
- Set and machine CNC Lathes
- Read and interpret complex engineered drawings and blueprints
- Working with tight tolerances
- Able to program Haas or Fanuc controls
- Experience with measuring devices.

- $30/hr. - $40/hr. depending on experience

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience:
- 5+ years of setting experience on CNC Lathes
- Valid CNC Machinist certification is an asset
- Able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Positive attitude and willingness to work!
- Security clearance required. Only available to Canadian Permanent Resident Status or Canadian Citizens
