We are a growing transportation company operating throughout Canada and the U.S., providing both long-haul and local delivery services. We are seeking an experienced Safety, Compliance & HR Manager to lead our safety, compliance, fleet administration, and employee onboarding programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all transportation safety and regulatory compliance programs (FMCSA, DOT, Transport Canada, MTO, CVOR, HOS, ELD, TDG, WHMIS, CLC).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive safety policies aligned with industry standards and legal requirements
- Conduct collision, incidents, injury, and workplace investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Administer IFTA filings, IRP registrations, base plating, vehicle permits, licensing, and fleet compliance.
- Manage CTPAT, PIP, and CSA compliance programs.
- Oversee the company's Drug & Alcohol Program and FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements.
- Coordinate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, orientation, discipline and terminations for drivers and owner operators,
- Administer WSIB claims, return-to-work programs, and workplace injury investigations.
- Manage employee and owner-operator benefit programs.
- Conduct workplace inspections and oversee Joint Health & Safety Committee activities.




- Track and coordinate required training, including Forklift, Fall Protection, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, and other safety certifications.
- Administrative duties

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of transportation safety/compliance experience.
- Knowledge of Fleet Manager is an asset.
- Robust knowledge of Canadian, U.S. transportation regulations, state and provincial laws.
- Experience with cross-border operations, fleet administration, WSIB, and employee relations.
- Excellent computer skills, leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
