SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Pricing, the Billing Supervisor will supervise as well as provide billing & billing audit services to ensure accuracy and timely release of billing into the AS400. Work schedule for this role will be Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm
during training the schedule will be from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
· Review & audit AI billing to confirm accurate capture of shipper, consignee, bill to party, BOL, PO info, cube & weight as well as special instructions. Audit any other account special exceptions for reference numbers as required.
· Ensure the AI review queue is handled in FIFO order and kept current
· Supervise, monitor and train staff to achieve timely completion of work.
· Laise with pricing & collections supervisors as required to verify pros are billed to correct accounts
· Interact with various dispatch departments on cash collect shipments
· Manage key cornerstone accounts as required
· Other Duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· A degree, especially shipping related, is seen as an advantage by employers, but not always essential.
· Experience in the transportation industry is required. Must be able to grasp of the terminology and concepts of related equipment and logistics.
· The role requires excellent analytical skills
· Ability to multi-task in a high paced commercial environment with tight deadlines.
· Must be proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Office, with excellent keyboarding skills.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
College degree in business, Transportation, Logistics or related field or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years of transportation experience in the transportation industry. Less Than Truckload (LTL) experience is preferred in a company with exposure to interacting with multiple terminals across varying time zones.
