About the Role

LD&A; is looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our design-build renovation team.

We work on high-quality residential renovations throughout Calgary. We care about thoughtful design, getting the details right and making the process a positive experience for our clients—and for each other.

We’re a small, collaborative team that takes pride in our work, shares ideas and enjoys a laugh along the way. You’ll support senior designers, give clear direction to architectural technologists and see our designs take shape through close collaboration with our construction team.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings, including space plans, elevations, construction details and custom millwork
- Create SketchUp models and renderings
- Develop finish selections, specifications and client presentation materials
- Collaborate with clients, construction teams, trades and suppliers
- Track revisions, document decisions and manage your work within project budgets and deadlines




- Assist with site measurements, permit packages and resolving design details during construction

What We’re Looking For

- A diploma or degree in interior design or architectural technology
- Experience working at an intermediate level in residential design
- Strong, practical proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Enscape or similar rendering software
- Experience producing accurate construction drawings and detailed custom millwork drawings
- A working understanding of construction methods, applicable building codes and permit requirements
- Solid attention to detail, organization and communication skills
- Someone who enjoys working within a small team, sharing ideas and helping others succeed
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and respond constructively to feedback
- A valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle are required for project site visits throughout Calgary and surrounding areas

Experience with higher-end residential renovations is a definite asset.
