About Radouga Distilleries
Radouga Distilleries Inc. is a Saskatchewan-based craft beverage manufacturer located near Blaine Lake, SK. Since 2014, we have focused on producing high-quality spirits and ready-to-drink beverages, including our award-winning Provincial Vodka and Crush-It Hard Iced Tea.
As our production operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to provide hands-on leadership of our production team and oversee the safe, efficient, and consistent operation of our beverage production and packaging lines.
The Position
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of production employees and production line activities. This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring someone who is comfortable working directly on the production floor, troubleshooting equipment and instrumentation, training employees, monitoring product quality, and ensuring production targets are achieved.
The successful candidate must have previous experience supervising a production line and have practical experience with instrumentation and food or beverage production.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production and packaging line activities.
- Lead, direct, train, and support production employees during their shifts.
- Assign work and ensure employees understand production priorities, procedures, and performance expectations.
- Monitor production output, line efficiency, product quality, downtime, and waste.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production and packaging equipment.
- Work with production instrumentation, sensors, controls, pumps, valves, flow systems, temperature controls, and other process equipment.
- Identify production or equipment issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Assist with equipment adjustments, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
- Monitor batching, blending, filling, packaging, labelling, and related beverage production processes.
- Ensure production is completed according to established recipes, specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Maintain accurate production, batch, quality-control, and inventory records.
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning procedures are followed for production equipment and work areas.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, product quality, housekeeping, and workplace safety.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, SOPs, safety procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Coordinate with management, warehouse, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and quality personnel.
- Monitor raw materials and packaging supplies and communicate production requirements or shortages.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase productivity, improve quality, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Investigate production problems and recommend improvements to equipment, processes, or procedures.
- Provide leadership during production changeovers, start-ups, shutdowns, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Complete other production and supervisory duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience supervising employees on a production or manufacturing line.
- Previous food and/or beverage manufacturing experience.
- Practical experience working with industrial instrumentation and process controls.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and resolve equipment or process problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, motivate, and hold production employees accountable.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow, efficiency, and quality control.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain accurate production and operational records.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment, chemicals, and alcohol-based products.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- Beverage, brewery, distillery, food-processing, dairy, bottling, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Automated filling, bottling, canning, labelling, or packaging equipment.
- PLC-controlled equipment and automated production systems.
- Pumps, valves,
flow meters, pressure and temperature instrumentation, sensors, and process controls.
- CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and sanitation procedures.
- Preventative maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
- HACCP, GMP, food safety, quality assurance, or related manufacturing programs.
- Inventory and production management systems.
- Forklift operation.

- Work on your feet for extended periods.
- Regularly walk throughout a production facility.
- Bend, reach, climb, and perform physical production duties as required.
- Safely lift and move materials associated with production operations.
- Work around operating machinery in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a supervisor who is comfortable being on the production floor and actively involved in operations, rather than supervising solely from an office.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, understands instrumentation and automated production equipment, can diagnose problems when a line is not operating properly, and knows how to organize and lead a production team to meet daily targets.
Above all, the successful candidate will take ownership of their production area and maintain high expectations for safety, quality, productivity, cleanliness, and employee performance.
