A highly regarded boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join its team. This is a unique role where you will be assisting the lawyers with accounting analysis for various tax and estate planning matters as well as tax litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare customized tax models to support complex client matters
- Perform complex reconciliations of clients' assets in response to tax audits
- Prepare estate accounting documentation, including statements of assets, liabilities and distributions
- Prepare executor's accounts and calculate care and management fees
- Complete cash reconciliations and track financial transactions
- Assist with additional accounting and tax-related projects as required

Requirements

- CPA designation
- Previous experience working within a professional services firm
- Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and software systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and reconcile complex financial information




- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to exercise initiative and take ownership of responsibilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships

Salary range: $90,000–$110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skills and qualifications.
