We are currently seeking a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Truck and Transport Technician and/or Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who takes pride in their work and is eager to learn and grow their skills. This position will involve performing maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers while working closely with other members of our team.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire repairs and changeovers, and fluid checks
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy trucks and trailers
- Repair or replace components and systems including wheel bearings, brake pads, brake pots, fuel systems, sensors, and suspension components
- Identify mechanical and electrical issues using manual and diagnostic equipment
- Complete repairs accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Assist other technicians and team members with shop projects and priorities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work workplace




- Perform other duties as required based on shop priorities

Requirements

- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Currently enrolled in or have completed Level 2 or Level 3 of the Truck & Transport Technician or Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician apprenticeship program
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
- Must have your own basic set of tools
