Red Deer Sport and Spine, a newly established multidisciplinary healthcare clinic in Red Deer, Alberta, is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) to join our growing team. We are hiring one full-time and one part-time RMT to provide exceptional massage therapy services to our diverse patient community. The successful candidates will collaborate with our team to establish flexible scheduling that aligns with their availability. This role involves delivering therapeutic massage treatments, utilizing medical terminology, and contributing to a welcoming and healing environment. These would be independent contractor positions operating on a revenue-split model.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy treatments tailored to individual patient needs, incorporating knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Assess patient conditions through consultation, understanding their health history and specific concerns.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at pain relief, injury recovery, stress reduction, and overall wellness.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments provided, including medical terminology relevant to each case.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide guidance on post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, hygiene standards, and clinic policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Valid registration as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in Alberta.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain treatment procedures clearly to patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Robust organizational skills for maintaining accurate treatment records.
- Flexibility regarding work hours; availability will be determined collaboratively based on the successful candidate’s schedule preferences for both full-time and part-time positions.
