Pipeworks Plumbing & Gas is a locally owned residential plumbing company based in Victoria, BC. We specialize in residential plumbing and gas work, and we’re looking for apprentices/journeymen who want to build a solid career in the trade. We have been operating in the greater Victoria area for over a decade and have loads of work planned for the next couple of years.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team.



The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing, construction, and related fields. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools to perform plumbing tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or potential problems.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for installations and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in plumbing or a related field is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Familiarity with carpentry, HVAC systems, and construction practices is a plus.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
- Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs.
