As a key contributor, you'll ensure homes and buildings are protected and visually appealing by expertly installing siding materials that stand the test of time.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install various types of siding materials according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, saws, and caulking guns to securely attach siding panels
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary weatherproofing or sealants
- Perform heavy lifting of siding panels and related materials safely and efficiently throughout each project
- Conduct caulking around seams, joints,
and edges to ensure weather-tight finishes
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Prior construction experience with a focus on exterior finishing or siding installation preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and basic carpentry skills required
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans clearly
- Experience with caulking techniques for weatherproofing is a plus
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights safely
- Handyman experience or general construction background highly desirable
