Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed according to specifications, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with team members, subcontractors, and clients. The Site Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining quality control and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

- Running the day to day on two to four active residential sites across Toronto and the GTA
- Posting a daily log in our management system for every active job: who was on site, what got done, weather, deliveries, delays, and photos. This is not paperwork for its own sake. It is how the office, the client and the trades all stay on the same page
- Walking each site for deficiencies, logging them with photos, assigning them to the responsible trade, and chasing them to closed. No deficiency gets signed off until you have seen the fix
- Coordinating and sequencing trades so the next crew can actually start when they arrive
- Checking work against the drawings, the specifications and the Ontario Building Code before a trade leaves and before anyone gets paid
- Confirming materials and fixtures land on site on time and match what was specified
- Enforcing health and safety on every site, including fall protection, WSIB requirements and site conditions
- Flagging change orders, scope gaps and schedule slips early,



to the project coordinator, not after the fact
- Being a calm, professional presence in front of homeowners. Most of our sites are people’s own houses while they are living nearby
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate their activities to ensure seamless workflow on-site.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years supervising residential construction, renovations, additions or custom homes
- A valid Ontario driver’s licence and a clean record. A company vehicle is provided for the role
- Able to read and work from architectural and structural drawings
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and residential means and methods: excavation and foundations, framing, mechanical rough-ins, insulation, drywall, and finish carpentry
- Comfortable using a construction management system on a phone or tablet every day for logs, schedules, photos and to-dos. Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct or similar is a strong asset
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices and budgeting principles.
