About the Chance

Raysa Enterprises Inc. is seeking an The Azure AI Infrastructure Specialist to support BC Government with the design, implementation, and deployment of an enterprise AI solution.

The primary focus of this role is to design and deploy an AI-powered Document Intelligence Reader and integrate Microsoft Copilot capabilities with an existing internal application.

The successful candidate will bring a combination of Azure AI, AI Document Intelligence, Azure AI Hub / AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, Azure infrastructure, application integration, security, and cloud architecture experience.

This is a 100% remote opportunity.

Primary Deliverable

The primary deliverable is a production-ready AI Document Intelligence and Copilot solution integrated with BC GOVERNMENT's internal application.

The successful consultant will:

- Design and deploy an AI-powered Document Intelligence Reader.
- Enable the solution to read, classify, extract, and interpret information from business documents.
- Integrate the AI solution with BC Government existing internal application.
- Integrate Microsoft Copilot capabilities into the internal application and/or associated business processes.
- Establish secure access to the required organizational data and documents.
- Build the required Azure infrastructure to support the solution.
- Ensure the solution is scalable, secure, maintainable, and suitable for production use.
- Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to BC Government resources.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Document Intelligence

- Design and implement an AI-powered document processing and intelligence solution using Microsoft Azure.




- Utilize Azure AI Document Intelligence to read and process business documents.
- Extract structured information from unstructured documents such as PDFs, forms, reports, and other organizational documents.
- Develop document classification and extraction workflows.
- Configure and optimize document models to achieve appropriate levels of accuracy.
- Develop processes for handling multiple document types and formats.
- Test and validate document extraction results.
- Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and automate manual document-processing activities.

2. Azure AI Hub / AI Foundry

- Design and configure the Azure environment supporting the AI solution.
- Work with Azure AI Hub / Azure AI Foundry to develop, test, deploy, and manage AI capabilities.
- Configure AI resources, projects, connections, models, and associated services.
- Support the movement of AI solutions from development through testing and production.
- Establish appropriate governance, security, access, and operational controls.
- Work with BC Government technical teams to establish repeatable AI deployment patterns.

3. Microsoft Copilot Integration

- Design and implement Microsoft Copilot integration with BC Government internal application.
- Enable users to interact with organizational information using natural-language capabilities.
- Integrate Copilot with appropriate internal data sources and application functionality.
- Develop or configure connectors, APIs, prompts, grounding, and integration mechanisms as required.
- Ensure Copilot responses are based on authorized organizational information.
- Implement appropriate permissions and security controls.
- Test and validate Copilot functionality and user experience.

4. Internal Application Integration

- Integrate Azure AI capabilities with BC Government existing internal application.




- Work with application development teams to understand the existing application architecture and integration requirements.
- Develop or configure APIs and services required to support AI functionality.
- Establish secure data flows between the internal application, Azure AI services, document repositories, and other enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot application, API, authentication, and data integration issues.

5. Azure Infrastructure

- Design and configure the Azure infrastructure required to support the AI solution.
- Work within the organization's Azure Landing Zone.
- Configure appropriate subscriptions, resources, networking, identity, security, and governance.
- Support Azure AI environments through development, testing, and production.
- Configure private connectivity, private endpoints, network security, and other infrastructure controls as required.
- Ensure the AI environment aligns with enterprise Azure architecture and security standards.

6. Identity, Security & Governance

- Implement secure identity and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC.
- Configure appropriate access for users, applications, services, and AI workloads.
- Support managed identities and application authentication.
- Apply least-privilege access principles.
- Ensure sensitive organizational information is appropriately protected.
- Work with security teams to address privacy, security, and governance requirements.
- Support responsible AI practices and appropriate controls around AI-generated information.

7. Salesforce Integration

Where required, support integration between the Azure AI solution and Salesforce.

Responsibilities may include:

- Supporting Salesforce-to-Azure connectivity.
- Working with Salesforce APIs.
- Supporting secure authentication and authorization.
- Establishing appropriate data flows between Salesforce and Azure.
- Troubleshooting API, connectivity, authentication, and data integration issues.
- Working with application and integration teams on the overall solution architecture.

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
