We're looking for a positive, customer-focused Deli Service Clerk who takes pride in providing outstanding service and helping keep our deli department stocked, organized, and looking its best. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and love working with people, we'd love to meet you!

As a Deli Service Clerk, you'll play an important role in creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers by delivering friendly service and maintaining the high standards Village Grocer is known for.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome customers with a friendly attitude and provide exceptional service
- Respond to customer questions and offer product recommendations
- Slice, package, weigh, and prepare deli products to customer specifications
- Assist with the preparation of specialty trays and custom orders
- Stock, rotate, and merchandise products to ensure freshness and attractive displays
- Operate deli equipment safely, including slicers, scales, ovens, and other tools
- Maintain department cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Help keep displays, coolers, and workstations fully stocked and organized
- Follow all company policies, health regulations, and workplace safety procedures
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule & Availability

- Available to work an 11:00am to 7:30pm shift
- Able to commit to 35 to 40 hours per week
- Available to work a balance of weekday and weekend shifts (one day each weekend)
- Flexibility to work additional shifts as required during peak holiday periods

Physical Requirements

- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying
- Working in refrigerated areas as needed
- Safely operating deli equipment and tools
- Lifting medium to heavy products and supplies

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
