In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals during daytime hours, ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence. Your expertise in food handling, cooking, and food safety will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our guests and staff alike. Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals with precision, creativity, and consistency during daytime shifts (generally 6am-2pm)
- Handle food with care, following all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Assist with food service operations by plating and packing dishes attractively and efficiently for catering services
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and storage spaces
- Follow recipes accurately while also demonstrating flexibility to accommodate special requests or dietary needs
- Ensure consistent quality, preparation and presentation of all food products




- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to all food handling regulations and safety protocols to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Must be able to commute to our Nepean kitchen for a 6am start

Experience

- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- 1-2 years of previous kitchen experience in the food industry provides a strong foundation for success in this role

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
