Machine Operator

Position Summary

Metrie is seeking safety-focused and reliable Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team in Woodbridge. In this role, you will operate production equipment, support manufacturing processes, perform quality inspections, and ensure products are packaged and prepared according to customer and company standards.

Machine Operators play a key role in maintaining production flow, product quality, and workplace safety while supporting various areas of the production line. This position provides opportunities for growth into advanced operational roles such as Prime Line Operator, Moulder Operator, and other leadership positions within the plant.

What You'll Do

- Safely operate assigned production equipment and workstations in accordance with all safety procedures and operating standards.
- Review production schedules and work orders to verify product specifications, quantities, packaging requirements, labels, and quality expectations.
- Package finished products through wrapping, banding, strapping, tagging, and material handling activities.
- Conduct quality inspections and identify defects such as profile imperfections, finish issues, labeling errors, packaging concerns, and other product abnormalities.
- Monitor production flow and support line operations by replenishing materials, clearing jams, and assisting with equipment setups and changeovers.
- Complete required production, quality, and operational documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Rotate between workstations as required to support production needs, staffing coverage, and workflow demands.
- Escalate quality, safety, equipment,



or production concerns promptly to the appropriate leader.
- Participate in training and certification programs to expand operational skills and qualifications.

What We're Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, production, or warehouse experience considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, production documents, labels, and operating procedures.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment.
- Reliable attendance and positive teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures, machinery, and production noise.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
