Floor Supervisor – Cooking Oil Packaging Plant

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, diligent, and detail-oriented Floor Supervisor to lead daily operations at our cooking oil packaging plant. In this hands-on role, you will coordinate production and packaging activities, support and motivate team members, and help ensure products are made safely, efficiently, and meet quality standards. You will work closely with production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily production and packaging activities, including filling, capping, labeling, case packing, and palletizing.
- Assign tasks, coordinate staffing, and monitor production schedules to meet output and order requirements.
- Lead, motivate, and train team members, including onboarding, supporting, and providing ongoing coaching.
- Ensure employees follow standards of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, GMP, and workplace safety procedures.
- Monitor packaging quality, product codes, labels, seals, and finished goods, and report or address issues promptly.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to report equipment problems and support timely troubleshooting.
- Complete and review production records, checklists, and shift reports accurately.
- Support inventory control by monitoring packaging materials and production supplies,



and communicating replenishment needs.
- Keep production areas clean, organized, and ready for inspections and changeovers.
- Work with quality, warehouse, and management teams to resolve production issues and meet operational goals.

Skills and Qualifications

- Supervisory or team-lead experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or a related production environment.
- Experience with production lines, filling equipment, or packaging machinery is an asset.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, GMP, and safe work practices.
- Solid attention to detail, especially when checking labels, product codes, packaging, and production records.
- Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams.
- Comfortable completing production documentation and using basic computer or production tracking systems.
- Reliable, practical, and willing to be hands-on on the production floor.
