Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Packer to join our warehouse team in BRANTFORD, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently packing, loading, and preparing products for shipment while maintaining safety and quality standards. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with heavy equipment operation are highly desirable.
Duties
- Pack products accurately according to order specifications, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Assist with order picking and staging items for shipment or storage
- Manage shipping & receiving tasks including documentation and inventory control
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and maintaining packing stations
- Ensure proper handling of heavy lifting tasks and safe operation of all equipment involved in the packing process
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain a clean,
organized workspace
Experience
- Previous warehouse distribution or logistics experience preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker technology is advantageous
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and heavy lifting techniques
- Construction or heavy equipment operation background is beneficial but not required
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to perform order picking efficiently and accurately
This role requires physical stamina, and the ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment safely. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that demands attention to detail and teamwork.
Schedule:
Day Shift: Mon to Fri 5:45am to 2:15pm
Afternoon Shift: Mon to Fri 3:00pm to 11:30pm
