Responsibilities

- Assist lead teachers in implementing educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Support children with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Engage children in age-appropriate play and learning exercises to stimulate curiosity and creativity
- Maintain a secure and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies
- Help organize classroom materials, supplies, and educational resources for efficient use

Skills





- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a strong plus for bilingual environments
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children and adults alike
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and organizational skills
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education programs is highly desirable
- Strong computer skills including basic operation of educational software and record-keeping tools
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively
- Leadership qualities combined with teamwork spirit to support a collaborative environment
- Writing skills for documenting observations and communicating with families
