Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be the face of our coffee shop & Gallery, responsible for creating exceptional beverages and providing outstanding customer service. Your role will involve crafting high-quality drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. This will go hand in hand with gaining the knowledge you need to properly engage customers about our books that we publish in the café, and the art that sells through the gallery.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items And retail items.
- Handle food safely in accordance with health regulations and company policies.
- Manage time effectively during The day.




- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work workplace and enhance customer experience.

Experience

- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience in food handling or food service is beneficial; time management skills are crucial for success in this role.
- Some knowledge of comics is helpful but not necessary.
