Kumon Math and Reading Center- Lewisburg, Calgary is scheduled to open soon, this will be a fantastic opportunity for those looking to build teaching and tutoring as their career. Joining center right from the opening will give candidates an ample opportunity to grow their own knowledge and skills along with the students.
Classes:
Tuesday/Wednesday- 3:30-7:30 pm
Friday- 3:30-6:30 pm
Saturday- 9:00am to 12:00 pm.
Duties
- Support the Instructor in lesson planning, classroom set up and folder review
- Monitoring classes, providing guidance to students in the class
- Grading classwork and homework
- Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement
- Monitor student progress, record keeping and communicate to the instructor
- Help manage secure classroom and organized learning environment
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated
- Support the instructor in day- to- day administrative tasks and house keeping
Skills
- Excellent math and reading, comprehension and pronunciation skills ( Skills will be tested)
- Ability to work with children of different ages with various learning capabilities
- Passion for teaching and learning, ability to motivate young learners
- Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully
- Preference will be given to candidates with Kumon experience as an assistant or a student
Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 20.0 per week
