About the Prospect

We are a growing Canadian e-commerce retailer specializing in collectibles, comic books, trading card games, and pop culture merchandise.

We are seeking a creative, reliable, and self-motivated freelance Social Media Content Creator to help develop and maintain our presence on Facebook and Instagram.

Our goal is to build an engaging online community, increase brand awareness, and drive traffic to our online store.

This is an ongoing freelance opportunity for someone who enjoys creating original content and has a genuine interest in comics, collectibles, or trading card games.

Responsibilities

- Create approximately 8–12 original social media posts per month.
- Develop engaging graphics, captions, and promotional content.
- Schedule and publish content on Facebook and Instagram.
- Highlight current products, upcoming releases, promotions, and special events.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity and brand voice.
- Research relevant trends within the comic book and trading card communities.
- Suggest creative ideas to increase engagement and website traffic.
- Communicate with the business owner regarding content planning and approvals.

Qualifications

- Experience creating social media content for businesses or brands.
- Proficiency with Canva, Photoshop, or similar design software.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram.




- Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous social media work.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, comic books, or other collectibles.
- Experience working with e-commerce businesses.
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite or similar scheduling tools.

Important Requirements

We are specifically looking for someone who creates authentic, original content.

AI-generated images, graphics, and written content are not permitted.

Product photography and relevant business information will be provided when available.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

This is a remote, independent freelance contract with a monthly project budget of $200–$300 CAD.

The contractor will have flexibility in how they organize their work while meeting agreed deliverables and publishing deadlines.

We are looking to establish a long-term working relationship with the right individual.
