A growing logistics and transportation company in Surrey, BC is seeking a hands-on, permanent, full-time Transportation Dispatcher to manage approximately 50 short haul drivers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–5 years of experience within the transportation or logistics industry.

This role is at the centre of a fast-moving transportation operation, turning changing priorities, available capacity, and customer needs into smart, safe and productive delivery plans. You’ll build and adjust daily routes, solve problems as they come up, and keep drivers and internal teams aligned throughout the day. SCHEDULE

Please note this is a permanent daytime, Monday to Friday position. You may have to be available to work on a weekend, from time to time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

· Plan and optimize daily and weekly delivery routes, balancing customer needs, driver availability, equipment, geography and hours-of-service requirements.

· Keep an eye on the day as it unfolds, adjusting routes and schedules when priorities shift, delays happen or the unexpected comes up.





· Coordinate with drivers and internal teams to keep everyone aligned, resolve delivery issues and maintain service levels.

· Balance delivery demand with available fleet capacity and plan ahead for busy periods and coverage needs.

· Monitor performance—including on-time delivery, route efficiency and fleet utilization—and use the data to spot opportunities for improvement.

· Maintain accurate dispatch and scheduling records while ensuring plans meet transportation regulations and company requirements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

· 2–5 years of experience in transportation dispatch, route planning, fleet scheduling, or a closely related transportation operations role.

· Demonstrated experience planning and optimizing routes for a multi-vehicle fleet in a time-sensitive delivery environment.

· Working knowledge of transportation regulations and hours-of-service requirements.

· Experience using dispatch, routing, TMS, or GPS/fleet-tracking systems (an asset).

· Strong working knowledge of Excel and the ability to use operational data to support scheduling and routing decisions.

Successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal background check, medical assessment, and drug screening as a condition of employment.

Pay: $60,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
