On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate for a 5-month role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate - Job Description:
The recent QA Specialist role is part of a critical project involving testing strategies and compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The project focuses on ensuring system integration and accessibility compliance for government services.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate - Responsibilities:

- Provides advice on the testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing.
- Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in GUI and non-GUI environments, including systems integration tests and user acceptance testing.
- Develops test plans, test scripts, and test cases, and executes these against various components.
- Executes functional, integration, system, and regression tests.
- Identifies, documents, and tracks software defects using tools like ALM, JIRA, Bugzilla, and Azure DevOps.
- Works closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Develops and maintains automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestComplete, or Postman.
- Conducts performance, stress, and load testing to ensure system capacity.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate - Mandatory Skills:





- 2+ years of experience in software testing in enterprise-level IT environments.
- Hands-on working experience in manual testing and automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies.
- Extensive experience with AODA testing and compliance.
- Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test cases, and scripts, as well as test reports.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Postman for API testing.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration tools like Jenkins, Git, or GitLab.
- Understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) for automation or test data setup.
- Experience with public sector quality assurance standards and practices.

Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate – Assignment Length:
This is a 5-month contract position.
