Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Welder to join their production team in a full-time, permanent position. The ideal candidate will have experience with stick welding and flux-core welding, hold a valid CWB certification, and be comfortable working in a pipe manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

Position: Welder - Stick & Flux-Core
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $26.52/hour + $1.00/hour shift premium for afternoon and night shifts
Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts every 2 weeks

Responsibilities

- Perform stick (SMAW) and flux-core (FCAW) welding on pipes and steel components.
- Perform vertical and horizontal welding in accordance with welding procedures and quality standards.
- Inspect pipes for defects, measure dimensions, and verify specifications against shop orders.
- Complete necessary welding repairs, cutting, beveling, and other fabrication work.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and job specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of pipe dimensions, repairs, job numbers, and production details.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
- Safely operate production equipment,



conveyors, and overhead cranes after appropriate training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Report defective equipment, quality issues, and safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with the production and quality control teams to meet daily production targets.

Requirements

- Valid CWB welding certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 1-2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing, pipe production, or heavy industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with stick (SMAW) and flux-core (FCAW) welding.
- Ability to weld in vertical and horizontal positions.
- Knowledge of welding defects, cutting techniques, gouging, and welding repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and workplace safety.
- Positive communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate production records.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts every two weeks.

Pay: From $26.52 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
