Reporting to the Store Manager, the Cashier/ Pump Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, dispensing fuel and ensuring the smooth operation our gas station/convenience store Mels Enterprises. This position requires shift work and involves various duties to support the overall operation of the convenience store and gas station.
Its a full time employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense fuel in accordance with established company procedures for full-service fueling.
- Be aware of potential fire hazards and safety risks associated with working around fuel pumps.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in a friendly manner, assisting with inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle various forms of payment.
- Keep the site clean and free of garbage; empty all garbage containers as needed.
- Stock shelves and ensure product displays are neat and organized.
- Sweep up and/or shovel snow along curbs as needed to ensure customer and staff safety.
- Assist in the growth and overall operation of the store and gas station whenever possible.
Qualifications
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Punctuality and reliability in attending shifts and completing tasks.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
