Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and determine their vehicle service and repair needs.
- Conduct customer consultations, document concerns accurately, and prepare detailed repair orders.
- Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines, vehicle condition, and customer needs.
- Communicate repair estimates, obtain customer authorization, and provide timely updates throughout the repair process.
- Coordinate with technicians, dispatch, parts, and warranty personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor repair progress and keep customers informed of delays or additional findings.
- Review completed repair orders for accuracy, ensure work is properly documented, and coordinate vehicle delivery.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Help achieve departmental objectives related to customer satisfaction, labour sales, productivity, and service retention.
- Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally, working toward timely and effective resolutions.
- Follow dealership procedures, manufacturer policies, and health and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor is a strong asset.
- Experience working in an automotive dealership environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance, repairs, and service operations.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence explaining technical recommendations and repair estimates in customer-friendly language.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and effective time management.
- A positive attitude, professional approach, and commitment to teamwork.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership management systems (DMS).
- Availability to work weekends as needed, based on departmental scheduling and business requirements.
