Gather Catering is a made-from-scratch boutique catering company that delivers exceptional food and service for events throughout Calgary. We cater a wide variety of functions, including corporate breakfasts and lunches, cocktail receptions, weddings, private dinners, birthday celebrations, baby showers, celebrations of life, and other special events.

We are looking for experienced, personable, and dependable servers and bartenders to join our team. Our events take place in private homes, event venues, offices, and other locations throughout Calgary and the surrounding areas.

Our event schedule varies, with opportunities to work daytime, evening, weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts. We offer a flexible schedule, allowing team members to select the event shifts that work best for their availability.

Responsibilities

Event Setup & Teardown

- Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, bars, and other event elements.
- Prepare service areas and ensure food and beverage stations are clean, organized, and ready for guests.
- Assist with post-event cleanup and teardown, ensuring event spaces are left clean and organized.

Food & Beverage Service

- Provide professional, attentive, and friendly food and beverage service.
- Assist with plated, buffet, and cocktail-style service, depending on the event.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages when required.
- Maintain clean and organized service areas throughout the event.




- Respond to guest requests and communicate any questions or concerns to the event lead.

Client Experience & Teamwork

- Deliver a consistently high level of hospitality and customer service.
- Represent Gather Catering professionally and help uphold our brand standards.
- Work collaboratively with the event team to ensure events run smoothly.
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist team members as needed.

Qualifications

- Previous serving or bartending experience in hospitality, catering, or a similar environment.
- Valid ProServe certification.
- Professional appearance and a friendly, confident approach to interacting with clients and guests.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability for a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically able to lift 25–50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
