Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support patients with meal preparation and nutritional needs to promote health and well-being
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Support patients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary




- Document care provided, observe changes in condition, and communicate updates to healthcare teams or family members

Skills

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care environments
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior care and dementia support
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of caregiving tasks
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Competence in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Experience in caregiving roles that involve cleaning, meal prep, and maintaining hygiene standards
