Position Summary

The Facility Attendant plays an important role in creating a clean, safe, welcoming, and well-run environment for our athletes, members, guests, renters, and community partners. This position is hands-on and varied, with responsibilities ranging from facility cleaning and setup to customer service and supporting our Cantina operations.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, notices the small details, is comfortable working independently, and enjoys working in a busy, sports-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Cleaning & Maintenance

- Complete routine cleaning and upkeep of the facility, including courts, fitness areas, washrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, clean surfaces, and remove garbage and recycling.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces, equipment, door handles, counters, and other frequently used areas.
- Restock washroom, cleaning, and facility supplies as required.
- Complete scheduled cleaning tasks and maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, damage, safety hazards, or facility concerns to the General Manager.

Facility Operations & Support

- Assist with the setup and takedown of equipment, courts, tables, chairs, and other items for programs, rentals, tournaments, and events.
- Ensure facility spaces are organized, clean, and ready for use.
- Complete regular facility walkthroughs throughout the shift.
- Support opening and closing procedures as required.
- Help ensure facility rules, policies, and procedures are followed.





Customer Service

- Greet and interact with athletes, members, guests, renters, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer general questions and provide information about the facility, programs, rentals, and services.
- Help create a positive and welcoming experience for everyone using the facility.
- Address basic customer concerns and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
- Represent Ace Athletic Centre in a professional and positive manner.

Cantina Support

- Assist with the preparation and service of food and beverages.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked Cantina.
- Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures.
- Serve alcohol responsibly and in accordance with applicable requirements and ProServe certification.
- Assist with Cantina opening, closing, and cleaning duties as required.

Safety & Incident Response

- Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify potential safety concerns.
- Help maintain a safe environment for athletes, members, guests, and staff.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or customer concerns in accordance with facility procedures.
- Report accidents, injuries, hazards, or other incidents to management promptly.
- Follow all Ace Athletic Centre health, safety, and operational policies.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
