We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Service Plumber who understands how the plumbing systems within a building work together.

The right person can confidently diagnose problems, complete repairs and maintenance, communicate professionally with customers and take ownership of service calls from start to finish. You’ll work primarily in commercial, high-rise and multi-residential buildings throughout the Ottawa area.

What You’ll Do

- Diagnose, repair and maintain plumbing systems in commercial, high-rise and multi-residential buildings
- Complete commercial plumbing service calls, repairs, replacements and installations
- Troubleshoot water-supply, drainage, fixture, hot-water and backflow systems
- Inspect building plumbing systems and identify the underlying cause of problems
- Recommend practical, code-compliant repair and maintenance solutions
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, schematics and technical specifications
- Perform backflow prevention testing and service when qualified
- Complete preventative maintenance and routine system inspections
- Communicate findings, options and completed work clearly to property managers, building operators and commercial customers
- Coordinate with coworkers, building personnel and other trades
- Use hand tools, power tools and other plumbing equipment safely
- Follow applicable building codes, safety requirements and industry standards




- Complete service records, reports and other required documentation accurately
- Keep your service vehicle, equipment and work areas clean and organized
- Take responsibility for each assigned job from diagnosis through completion

What We’re Looking For

- A valid plumbing licence recognized in Ontario
- A valid driver’s licence
- Proven commercial plumbing service and maintenance experience
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- A solid understanding of complete building plumbing systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings
- Confidence working independently and making sound decisions in the field
- Skilled communication and customer-service skills
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and plumbing diagnostic equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements and job calculations
- Ability to safely perform the physical work associated with commercial plumbing, including lifting equipment and working in confined spaces
- Clear professional English for customer communication, teamwork and safety documentation
- Dependability, attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Willingness to continue learning and share knowledge with others

Strong Assets

- Backflow tester certification
- Backflow installation, testing and service experience
- High-rise or multi-residential service experience




- Hydronic heating experience
- Experience working with property managers, building operators or commercial facilities
- Experience coordinating work with other trades
