Location: Pointe-Claire, Quebec

Our client manufactures steel rule cutting dies and tooling for customers who depend on precision, quality, and reliable delivery. We are looking for an experienced Welder and Tooling Team Lead who can work hands-on while guiding the team’s daily production.

What you will do

- Plan and assign daily welding and tooling work based on production priorities and delivery dates.
- Fabricate, weld, fit, repair, and modify tooling and components to drawings and specifications.
- Support the production of steel rule cutting dies and related tooling.
- Check dimensions, weld quality, fit, and finished work before jobs move to the next stage.
- Troubleshoot fabrication and tooling issues and work with production and design staff to resolve them.
- Train and coach team members on safe work practices, equipment use, quality standards, and efficient methods.
- Monitor progress, communicate delays or material needs, and help keep work on schedule.




- Maintain an organized work area and ensure tools and welding equipment are used and maintained safely.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, workflow, and material use.

What you bring

- Solid experience in welding, metal fabrication, and precision tooling.
- Ability to read technical drawings, measure accurately, and produce consistent work.
- Experience leading, training, or coordinating a shop team.
- Robust troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach to solving production problems.
- A commitment to workplace safety, quality, and respectful teamwork.
- Experience with steel rule dies or similar precision tooling is an asset.
