We are currently looking for a passionate foodie to join our team as an Assistant Produce Department Leader. With a passion for food, you are a person who loves working with people and creating a positive experience for others.

Job Overview

Fresh is our first name so it goes without saying that we like to show that off in our Produce Department, where we put a spotlight on in-season and locally grown fruits and vegetables. In that spirit of freshness, produce is picked and brought here in a big hurry, so we depend on our exceptional team of Produce Experts to help us ensure that products are prepared for presentation in our market with that same level of care.

As an Assistant Produce Leader, you will deliver exceptional customer service by fostering customer loyalty, fulfilling customer needs, and actively contributing to an environment of employee and customer engagement. Reporting to the Produce Leader duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Leadership through coaching the company vision, mission, core values
- Consistently deliver excellent service experience for both internal and external customers
- Hire, train, manage and motivate a team to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Responsible for daily scheduling needs and applying labor optimization
- Product merchandising; New product/program execution
- Manage ordering, inventory and shrink management




- Oversee the financial key objectives and needs are achieved
- Ensure store operations, budgets, financials are met
- Communication to team on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
- Ensure health and food safety standards are executed through Standard operating procedures
- Physical Requirements are required as a Leader in Fresh St Market

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 Years Produce experience in a large format grocery store
- Minimum 2 years Leadership/ Management in a retail service environment
- Food Safe and First Aid Certification are considered assets
