We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join a energetic team in a fast-paced distribution setting. This role is responsible for loading and unloading freight, sorting shipments, preparing deliveries, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit, safety-conscious, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Load and unload freight from trailers and delivery vehicles.
Sort packages and freight efficiently to meet operational deadlines.
Prepare shipments for delivery by organizing and staging freight.
Scan, weigh, measure, and verify shipments using handheld scanning equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Assist with daily warehouse setup and general operational support.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and standard operating practices.
Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, freight handling, or package sorting experience is preferred.
Experience in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment is considered an asset.
Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
Comfortable performing repetitive lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of handheld scanners is an asset.
Familiarity with dangerous goods handling is considered an asset.
Robust work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Must wear CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots.
Valid government-issued identification is required for site access.
Candidates must successfully complete a Canadian background check before starting employment.
