This is an entry-level industrial maintenance position and does not require a licensed millwright.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
Identify mechanical issues and perform basic troubleshooting and repairs.
Perform general plumbing and routine maintenance tasks as required.
Help maintain equipment in secure and reliable working condition.
Operate a forklift occasionally, as needed.
Work alongside the current mechanic to learn equipment maintenance procedures and daily responsibilities.
Support general maintenance activities to help minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements
Diploma or certificate in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related trade is preferred.
Equivalent hands-on mechanical experience will also be considered.
Solid mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial maintenance.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop current technical skills.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Forklift experience or certification is an asset but not mandatory.
