We’re looking for a motivated 2nd-year (or higher) culinary student to join our catering team as a Prep Cook.
This is a outstanding opportunity for a culinary student who wants to build real-world kitchen experience and develop their skills with a team that values excellence.
Position Details
Position: Prep Cook
Hours: 8–16 hours per week
Pay: 17.95/ hour
Start Date: November, Date TBD
Education: 2nd-year culinary student or higher
Responsibilities
Prepare fresh ingredients to meet daily kitchen needs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and storage areas to uphold food safety standards
Support Chef with basic food preparation tasks
Follow proper food handling procedures
Requirements
Basic knife skills
Valid Food Handler certification
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
Attention to detail when preparing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness
Solid work ethic and willingness to learn
Familiarity with fundamental cooking and food prep techniques
Must be punctual,
with excellent time management skills
