Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus.
Duties
Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee all areas of the property
Enforce security protocols and access control procedures to prevent unauthorized entry
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying and addressing potential theft or vandalism
Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff as needed while maintaining security standards
Requirements
Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred
Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques
Strong observational skills with attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and skilled in high-pressure situations
Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents and interacting with the public. Fluent in English is a MUST.
Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods during shifts
Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
MB Security Guard license is required prior to employment.
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
