This full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week as an Occupational Therapist (OT). You will be working with a Physiotherapist, Physiotherapy Assistant, and Health Promoter at our 5,600 sq. ft. gym facility which includes a hydrotherapy pool. You will also be working collaboratively with physicians and other FHT Allied Health Specialists within the BCFHT.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients’ needs and create tailored therapy plans
Delivering therapeutic interventions to improve functional abilities
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed
Educate patients and their families about strategies to foster independence
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic patient care
Contribute to program planning and development of new patient programs
Maintain standards of knowledge, skills, and participate in continuing education

Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment




Experience working in a primary care setting is considered an asset
Flexibility to respond to a fluctuating workload and changing environment
Knowledge and sensitivity of the social determinants of health in our rural region
Proficiency in the use of electronic health records
Motivated qualified who can work with minimal supervision
