Aureum Healthcare is a Registered Nurse-led home care provider serving York Region and the Greater Toronto Area. We provide Personal Support Workers and nurses to people recovering from injury, including motor vehicle accident claimants with auto insurance perks.
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist to work with us on a contract, per-assessment basis.
What you would do
Complete in-home Assessments of Attendant Care Needs (Form 1) for auto insurance claimants and submit them through HCAI.
Assess nursing care needs during the same visit and act as the signing Health Practitioner (Part 4) on OCF-18 Treatment and Assessment Plans.
Complete brief re-evaluations for plan renewals, typically every 8 to 12 weeks.
Communicate findings clearly to families, adjusters and legal representatives when needed.
What we're looking for
Registered and in valuable standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
Experience with Ontario auto insurance claims:
the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule, Form 1 and OCF-18, and HCAI submissions.
Your own HCAI facility registration and skilled liability insurance.
A valid driver's licence and vehicle for in-home visits.
Fluency in Tagalog is an asset, as many of the families we support speak it.
How it works
Form 1 assessments are billed under your own HCAI facility at Professional Services Guideline rates, so you're paid directly by the insurer.
Plan renewals and OCF-18 signatures are paid by Aureum at a flat fee per plan.
Volume starts low and grows with our referrals. This suits an OT who already does assessment work and wants additional files close to home.
To apply, send a short note on your assessment experience and the areas you cover.
Pay: $80.00-$95.00 per hour
