We are seeking a passionate and energetic OCT (Overseas Chinese Teacher) English Tutor to inspire and guide students in developing their English language skills.
Duties
Design and deliver interactive English lessons tailored to students’ age and proficiency levels, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences
Incorporate multimedia resources, games, and activities to enhance language acquisition and maintain student motivation
Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and informal observations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, confidence, and curiosity in language learning
Communicate clearly with students and parents about learning goals, progress updates, and areas for improvement
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and language backgrounds, including Mandarin, French, Spanish, or Japanese speakers
Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student achievements in accordance with program guidelines
Experience
Prior experience tutoring or teaching English to children or teenagers in classroom or one-on-one settings
Demonstrated classroom experience with young learners in educational or extracurricular environments
Proficiency in Mandarin is essential; knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Japanese is a robust plus
Strong writing skills for creating lesson plans, instructional materials, and progress reports
Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds is highly valued
Familiarity with up-to-date teaching tools and digital platforms to facilitate remote or hybrid instruction
