Taste of Lebanon, a Lebanese restaurant located in downtown Victoria, is looking for a two reliable, hardworking, and motivated Food Preparation and Kitchen Assistants to join our small team.
The successful candidates will assist with preparing traditional Lebanese and Middle Eastern food, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting daily restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparing Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes according to established recipes.
Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, and portioning vegetables and other food items.
Assist with assembling sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Assist with receiving and organizing food supplies.
Support other kitchen and restaurant operations as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant kitchens is preferred.
Familiarity with Lebanese or Middle Eastern cuisine is an asset.
Arabic language proficiency is preferred for effective communication with kitchen staff during food preparation and daily operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting.
Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety. Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
Working Hours and Compensation
35 hours per week for Full time position: Monday-Friday 10:30 am-5:30 pm
16 hours for Weekend: 10:30 am-5:30 pm
Hourly wage: $19.00
