Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled general surgeon to join the team at Chilliwack General Hospital. You will take over a retiring surgeon's practice, handling elective and emergent endoscopy, participating in a 1:6 call schedule, and engaging in academic opportunities with UBC and SFU. This role offers involvement with Chilliwack’s Virtual Breast Clinic, enhancing patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake a broad range of general surgical procedures
• Manage cases in elective and emergent endoscopy
• Participate in a 1:6 call schedule for patient care




• Mentor medical trainees during clinical preceptorships
• Engage with the Virtual Breast Clinic for surgical breast disease

Requirements:
• CMPA and CPSBC eligibility required
• FRCSC eligible or equivalent credentials
• Robust background in community general surgery
• Interest in academic teaching at UBC or SFU
• Ability to work effectively within a surgical team
