Quality Assurance (QA) Lead – Automation & Enterprise Applications Location: Canada -Remote
Contract Duration: 12 Months, with potential for extension

About the Opportunity Buchanan Technologies is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to support a large-scale enterprise application modernization initiative. This role combines hands-on technical testing, test automation, quality assurance leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional development teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining QA best practices, leading testing activities, developing automated testing frameworks, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality enterprise software solutions.
We are looking for a technically strong QA professional who can balance strategic QA leadership with hands-on testing and automation, particularly within Microsoft Azure DevOps and modern CRM environments.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate quality assurance activities across multiple development and delivery teams, ensuring consistent testing standards and practices.
Establish, implement, and continuously improve QA methodologies, policies, procedures, and best practices.
Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Playwright with C#/.NET Core and NUnit , integrated with Azure Pipelines.
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering System Integration Testing (SIT), end-to-end testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business and technical requirements.
Perform hands‑on manual testing of enterprise applications, web-based solutions, APIs, and CRM platforms.
Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps Test Plans to manage test execution, defect tracking, reporting, and QA activities.
Coordinate defect identification, triage, prioritization, resolution, and retesting with development and project teams.




Support business stakeholders in developing UAT test scripts, conducting testing activities, and validating business requirements.
Develop QA performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track testing progress, team velocity, defects, and overall software quality.
Mentor and guide QA analysts, promoting consistent testing practices and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with solution architects, developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance, including QA leadership responsibilities.
Proven experience establishing and implementing QA best practices, policies, procedures, and testing standards.
Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright automation using C#/.NET Core and NUnit , including execution through Azure Pipelines.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps , particularly Test Plans and test management.
Solid understanding of manual and automated software testing methodologies.
Experience designing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and regression testing suites.
Experience testing REST and/or SOAP APIs, including working with JSON and XML.
Strong ability to develop, manipulate, and validate test data, reproduce defects, and troubleshoot complex application issues.
Experience managing testing activities across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle.
Ability to assess defect severity, manage testing priorities, and coordinate issue resolution.
Experience creating QA dashboards, reporting metrics, and communicating testing progress to project stakeholders.
Strong communication, analytical,



problem‑solving, and team leadership skills.
Experience supporting business stakeholders through User Acceptance Testing.
Preferred Qualifications Experience testing enterprise CRM applications, particularly Oracle Fusion Cloud Sales and Service CRM .
Experience with other CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.
Accessibility testing experience and knowledge of accessibility standards.
Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
Experience working in Agile or iterative software development environments.
Experience supporting enterprise application modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
